What's the Gist?

To be eligable for the Grand Champion and Reserved Grand Champion awards, every team will compete in 2 different BBQ challenges.  Chicken and  Pork.  You DO NOT have to be a restaurant to compete.  We are anticipating 24 teams.

Event Rules

All teams must follow the 2019 KCBS Backyard Official Rules and Regulations. Judging procedures are located on the KCBS webste – www.KCBS.us

What's the Cost?

The entry fee for the chicken and pork ribs competition is $150 per team due on or before September 14th. On or after September 15, the entry fee will be $175. Limit of  24 teams. No refunds after September 15, 2019. Make checks payable to Clem Greco and mail with your completed entry form to Delton Oaks Resort, Attn: Clem Greco, 730 East Hiawatha Drive, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965.  You can also pre-register by calling (773) 593-3352, but your registration will not be complete until your registration payment has been received.

What's included in the Cost?

Each team will have approximately 10′ x 15′-20′ cooking site. Sites will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Teams will be parked either on the side of the stree or the grass. All sites are next to resort / hotel rooms. You will have access to electricity (if you have signed up for it) beginning at 3:00 on Friday. We will show you where to access water upon arrival (sorry no direct water hookups). A restroom and wash area will be available for teams in the Delton Oaks Office or in your own room at the resort. For trash disposal please place your trash in trash bags and then place the bags in the dumpster. Charcoal and grease containers will also be available.

How do I register?

Mail your completed Registration/Entry Form (download below) and a check for your Entrance Fee Registration to Clement Greco, Delton Oaks Resort, 730 Hiawatha Drive, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965 or call the resort at (773) 593-3352. (Your registration will not be complete until your payment is received).

Registration fee of $150 per team must be receives before September 14, 2020. Beginning September 15 a registration fee of $175 per team will apply. No refunds for cancellations will be given after September 15.

What should I bring?

Bring whatever gear, cookers, equipment, utensils, and the ingredients you will need to cook your meat. We suggest that each team bring a 100′ outside extension cord. If you have a small generator, please bring.

Where do I stay?

$89 Lakeside, $79 Lodge rooms. 2-night minimum stay required for Lakeside. Rooms based on availability first-come, first-served. Reserve your rooms today!
